Please join us for a self-defense workshop. As we begin to work towards having and operating our own space, we are hosting our first events in community spaces. So, we are here to present our first event, aimed at empowering those within our community to wear armor as they explore their sexuality. This workshop is open to everyone who desires to create a safe space for others within our community. We hope to see you there.
The Sensual Sanctuary prides itself on being consent-focused and consciously committed to creating a safe space for erotic and sensual exploration. For us, creating a safe space begins in conversations that create boundaries and transparent communication. This community event aims to create a space in which all members can begin to grow authentic connections prior to our self-defense course. Because we know that we cannot always avoid a triggering or dangerous moment, we find self-defense to be a way to create space to empower others to know how to say the word “no” as equally as their wants and desires. We see our mission is to create a safer exploration space for everyone who seeks to create that same safe space in return. We seek to create a sensual community focused on an empathic approach to love, sex, kink, and taboos.

What can you expect?
We have two locations for this meetup. We will first be meeting for appetizers and having a get to know you and warm up discussion. After getting to know each other, we will drive over to the self-defense class.

Come to present your best self, as this is one of the myriad of ways that our community members help vet those who attend private play events! Dress code is relaxed after work style. Be prepared to change into comfortable work out clothes before the Self-Defense Class [See more details below].

However, we extend these things to all members in our community. You’ll find people from LGBTQ+ communities and from those in hetero-normative, kink,and other conscious-minded communities. If you are making someone uncomfortable, you will be talked to and possibly asked to leave. We value consent and safety above all. No one under 21 will be allowed, unless it is an 18+ SEX Education event.

____Notes from Self-Defense Instructor____
What to bring:
Bring water, and a towel if you'd like.We have a refill station so you can refill your water if you drink it all. We also offer beverages like water, energy drinks, protein drinks, etc. for sale on site.
What to wear:
Anything you feel comfortable working out in! Please make sure to not wear anything with zippers as those can damage the mats, but other than that, whatever you feel good working out in. Sweats, yoga pants, leggings, shorts, etc. and shoes you can easily slide on and off. There will be no shoes on the mats, but you must wear shoes in the restroom, so I recommend having something that you can easily slide on and off whether those be flip flops, sandals, slides, etc.
